Geek Girl reporting from Hollywood!

Friday, November 30th, 2007 by eve

I just cheched into ‘the Magic Castle Hotel’ right in the heart of

Hollywood. I had a very senic drive here, via shuttle. I suspect the

driver got a little lost, but since it wasn’t a taxi and I have the

time, I found it quite enjoyable!

I’m quite nearby Hollywood Blvd, and would love to walk around and be

touristy, but unfortunately it is raining cats and dogs! Of all the

days. Oh well. Now I’m on the hunt for my fellow podcasters and some

    lunch!

   More later, excelsior!

This is Macmost.com’s Geek Girl, here still trying to drum up excitement for my upcoming episode, my episode 50 spectacular! But this week, I talk about potato genes, one week belated, I explain the 13370rZ, make a correction from last week and thank everyone for cellphone advice, keep it coming! geekgirl at clevermedia dot com!

Geek Girl TV #48: No Halflings were Harmed in the Making

Friday, October 19th, 2007 by eve

48 is 2 minus 50, which counts down to my episode 50 spectacular. 50 is going to be spectacular that it may take me two or three episodes to show it. But be sure to send me your best number 50 facts, and send me your 13370RZ applications. I show off the Bag of Holding, my new messenger bag, which is not made from the bottomless-pit, stomach of a hobbit. I talk cell phones, and beg you to give me input. Lastly, I put it to you to help me discover the authoritative algorithm to calculate the mental maturity of men vs. women in order to determine one’s appropriate dating pool. I’d be really interested to see if anyone comes up with a really good formula.

Geek Girl TV #47: Smart Shirt, Babydoll!

Thursday, October 18th, 2007 by eve

Visit GeekGirl.TV for more Geek Girl. In this episode, I introduce the 47 society, keepers of the quintessential random number :47. I review one of the smart shirts from think geek: the T-qualizer babydoll! Lastly, I give cinemapsychic.com some love. Go give him some love too. Podcasting is pretty incestuous.

Geek Girl TV #46: Sexy Phlegm

Friday, October 5th, 2007 by eve

This episode, of contracted the PME plague from PME and I’m a little out of it. The pace of the show is odd this week, and my voice is operating in a lower octave. It reminds me of Friends, season 4 episode 5, “The One With Joey’s New Girlfriend” where Pheobe gets a cold, and everyone in the coffee shop can’t get enough of her new singing voice. When she gets over her cold, she does anything she can to catch another, and regain her ’sexy phlegm’. This is episode 46. Potato chromosome controversy. Lastly, I show some home video of the closing of my local drive-in theater, and the send off by the local drag queen comedy troop ‘the Demented Divas’. My mood is rather subdued, so I think the closing drive-in is a little of a buzz killer. But I’ll feel better next week, and I’m going to show off a brand new piece of swag I got from think geek. Oh yeah, I’m addicted to twitter. Thanks to the loving harassment of my new good friend Jim of the Clip Show. Check him out at theclipshow.com and he will help you to discover new podcasts.

Geek Girl TV #44: Digital Distribution

Friday, September 21st, 2007 by eve

In this episode, I share some geeky facts about the number 44, including +44 which is an alternative indie rock band, and also the country code for dialing the UK. 44 is also a tribonacci number, which I explain with visual aids. Rumors continue that iTunes may offer a 30 day movie rental for the low price of 2.99. I support this, and all movements to digital distribution, so much so that I think I’m ready to cut the cord and rid myself of traditional broadcast media. Most of my favorite shows are now available a la carte via online distribution channels, and there’s more available everyday. It’s time to embrace the future. Speaking of radical change, I propose an edgy new doo. Please send your suggestions and feedback on whether I should keep my pigtails, or trade it in for a hip new hairstyle. And what new look would that be? geekgirl at clevermedia dot com.
