I’ve read lots of comments about this MacKeeper on the Apple Communities forums, mostly derogatory.
I keep seeing ‘Clean up your Mac’ buttons all over the Internet!
Do you have any experience of/with this faciity?
Is it bona fide – or a scam? That’s my question!

  1. It is real software, but the question is “do you need it.” My opinion is “no.”
Your system does all of the maintenance required automatically. You don’t need a program like this.
    I don’t use it.

  2. Mr Anthony Cotton says:

No its not a scam, and its a genuine application. I was told by an Apple Tech Guy,if your Mac is under warranty and this application causes any faults your warranty is down the drain. I went on this site, and in the small print some where it said we are not responsible if this application causes any malfunction, or words to that effect. I even sent them an email, and i am still waiting for an answer. Take notice what Gary has said, and in my opinion NO you do not need it.
