MacMost Forum / Connecting iPad to Bluetooth hands free car kit

Why can I not connect my iPad to the bluetooth hands free car kit and my iPhone works perfectly?

    Not sure. What are you connecting, though? I connect to my car’s bluetooth with my iPhone, but that is for making phone calls. The iPad can’t make phone calls, so I assume you want to use it to play music. I think there is enough of a difference that it could be the root of the problem.
    Or, it could simply be that your iPhone is running iOS 4.X and your iPad must be running 3.2 — maybe you’ll get the connectivity you want when we get iOS 4.2 for the iPad later this year.
