MacMost Forum / Coverage range on the new iPhone 4

Hi Gary,
I am just out of mobile (cell) range at home and I was wondering if the new iphone 4 with the antenna on the outside of the phone would have a better coverage range than a 3gs?

    It shouldn’t be any different. I’d think that an antenna on the outside of the phone would help reception in area that are already getting at least some. But there is no way to know whether it will work for you unless you get someone with an iPhone 4 over to test. I wouldn’t count on it.
