MacMost: Making the most of your Mac, iPhone, iPod, and Apple TV.

Hi everyone, I’d like to remove the text that shows up above any icon on my dock when the mouse is over the icon. I figure the icon should be enough recognition. I currently have Leopard 10.5.8 on my 24″ imac. I did notice that when I go into text editor to rename items in core services that it no longer allows me to edit and save. So any functions previously renamed from defaults are final, unless I go backwards in the software updates.
Thanks everyone

  1. There is no way to do it easily. I have heard that this software does it, but haven’t tried. http://www.freerangemac.com/TransparentDock2.html
