MacMost Forum / Error -50 when writing to hard disk

I am getting an “error -50″ when I try to write to one of my external drives, but I can’t seem to find any information about what that means. How do I find this and figure out what is happening here?

    I believe -50 is an “unknown error” so it could be anything. Run Disk Utility, Verify and/or repair disk. Could be a bad disk, or it could mean you need to reformat the disk and start fresh.
