MacMost Forum / googlemail on iphone suddenly stopped

Hi, This week my google email stopped on my Iphone. I can look at my account on my PC but the iphone says cannot get mail imap.gmail.comis not responding. verify account settings. Also sometimes it says username or password is incorrect & yet I have not adjusted anything! Pleas help if you can

    I would simply delete the account on your iPhone and then set it up again as a new account. That should take care of it.
    When you get “password incorrect” errors it is usually simply a connection error — your iPhone was having trouble connecting to the Google servers. Maybe resetting the account like I suggest will give you updated server settings that will get around the issue.
