How Can I Bypass the Lock Screen and Especially the “password Required” On an iPhone With 10.0.02?

It seems as if something’s changed and now the operating system requires a password to be re-entered regardless of how many minutes it’s been since the last login. When I’m owrking in the comfort of my own home, this is a bit ridiculous. IS there anything that can be done to lengthen the time between uses when a password rentery is required? Thank you,

Hard to tell what you are experiencing without more information. But maybe this will help.
With iOS 10 (and iOS 9 and maybe iOS 8 too) if you use Touch ID then you only get one option under Settings. Touch ID & Passcode, Require Passcode. "Immediately" is all you get.
And it should be all you need as you should rarely ever need to enter your passcode. Just touch the home button and let Touch ID unlock it for you.
