I’m teaching a class using Keynote. I’m connected to a widescreen monitor, but my presentation is standard, leaving black bars on either side of the display. Is there a way to switch to widescreen presentation without affecting the aspect ratio of graphics within the presentation? —–

  1. The aspect ratio shouldn’t change.
Here’s what you do. Duplicate the Keynote file. Then take one of the two and switch the screen size in it. See what happens and make adjustments as necessary. If it is a disaster, you still have the other copy to fall back on.
