How do I save video taken with a GoPro 5 black edition without taking space on my macbook air hard drive
running OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6 ?

    For most people, the main alternative to storing the file on your main hard drive on your Mac is to simply put it on an external hard drive. They are fairly cheap. I'd get a USB 3 (not 2) hard drive and make it way bigger then you think you will need. Get a 1 TB one, maybe, or more. Store your Go Pro video there.
    The other main option would be to store your videos online, in -- something that is not also syncing the files so they are also on your drive. But you'll need very fast bandwidth for that, since these files are probably huge. So this option isn't the best choice for most people.
