How to delete photo library from photos app

I know that pictures not on camera roll can only be deleted through iTunes, but I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to un-sync a photo album using iTunes, but once the sync is complete, and I go back to check, the album is still there. I’m thinking that maybe something is wrong with my iTunes, because I can’t even see what album is synced when I go to the photo tab in iTunes. Basically iTunes has it that no album is synced, but my iPhone is disagreeing… just wanted to know if anyone else was having a similar problem, or maybe has a solution =)

How about trying to create a new album, then syncing that. See if it shows up, and if the old one is gone.
Or, see if you sync that same album, but with no photos in it.
    Try things like that.

On iphoto click sync selected albums, leave all boxes unchecked, hit sync, album will disappear from phone, leaving only camera roll unaffected

I've seen episode 485. I still don't understand whats the idea behind Photo Library? And why can't pictures from that album be removed?

    Hope you can help?

Pictures can't be removed because your Photo Library is synced with your computer. Deleting them would make them out of sync. Your Photo Library on your computer is the "master" photo library. The real thing. The one on your iPhone is an exact copy of the photos you have chosen to sync. If you want to remove a photo, remove it from the master library (or change your sync preferences) on your computer and then sync again.
It would be very confusing if you could delete a photo on your iPhone. Then what? You sync again and there is no easy way to resolve it. Does your computer remove that photo too? Does it re-sync that photo?
It is easiest to have all of the control in one place -- your computer. Then just a copy on your iPhone.

Thanks, think I've got the idea behind it now.

I just cant see the pictures on my PC..... thats the big challenge.... therefore I can't mark or move them to a library on my MAC, that is not a part of the sync setup.

So when we make albums, organize photos, and then sync them back them back to the phone, we are creating two sets of each photo? One in the photo library and one in the album? That's very frustrating and a huge space waster. Is there some work around to organize the photo library?

No. Only one copy. You are just viewing the photos in different ways. Just like in iPhoto where you can list by Events, Photos and Albums -- the photo is there once. Or in iTunes where you can view your song by song, or by album or by playlist.
