I share a google calendar with people at work and I have it synced with ical. I would like to be able to protect it with an automated backup that saves it into a local file or a local calendar with a frequency, to prevent data loss if someone accidentally erases something important. Note: They have to be able to modify calendar info if its need it this question applies only in case someone erases something by mistake and I need to recover it.

  1. I don’t have a good answer for you on this one. I’ve never seen a Google calendar backup system of any kind — but I’ve never looked for one either. A search for “backup google calendar” turns up a lot of things, but I don’t know if any will fit your needs.
