I just bought a new MBP 13″ to complement my Imac. Having installed the disks am now up and running. However I now have Iphoto 11 on my MBP but not on my Imac. Can I sync them somehow ? Or copy Iphoto App over from MBP to Imac via Firewire. If so, what files do I need to copy. —–

  1. You need to buy iPhoto 11.
You can do this one of two ways:
    1. You can purchase the iLife 11 discs. Get them at an Apple Store or online retailer.
    2. You can use the Mac App Store (available in Mac OS X 10.6.7) and buy iPhoto individually for $15.

Thanks for the quick answer. So even though I bought it with my MBP I still need to buy another copy ?

    • Right. You got a “copy” on your MacBook Pro when you bought it. You also got a copy on your iMac when you bought it — but it is now an old version. You need to upgrade that old copy on your iMac by buying iPhoto 11.
