I have four questions.
1/ My iWeb address web.me.com/lolp will display my photographic business and web site. This address is printed on ALL of my letterheads, documents, and cards, ALL of my customers will go to web.me.com/lolp to view my iWeb site, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THIS ADDRESS
2/ How will people view my Mobileme iPhoto web galleries
3/ I use iDisk, what will happen to this service, how do you send and receive very large files
4/ Will all of my iWork.com transfere to iCloud Docs
Like a lot of people, I am very concerned as to how this will affect me, I do know that you will be able to buy extra iCloud storage, however the above is not know or clear.

The answer to all four questions is: we don't know yet.
We do know that all of these should remain around until 6/30/12. So we have lots of time. But Apple hasn't given us details about iWeb, iDisk, photo galleries.
We've got lots of time, so I'd guess that we'll know more in the fall when iCloud launches.
Do you not think that is very poor that Apple have not given an outline as the issue of iWeb, iDisk & Galleries, there will be about a million users that use these services and I would think that half of them would use these services for business, so it looks like to me that if I want better information than Apple will supply, I will best in following MACMOST, Best Regards
I think it is great that they have given us more than a year warning. I'm sure we'll hear more in the fall about any possible iWeb, iDisk or Photo Gallery services. Still plenty of time.
I'm planning to do some tutorials this summer on alternatives to all of these things. Though I just did a series on alternatives to Photo Gallery (episodes 549 and 550).
I want to know if I will still be able to host my web site on the new icloud and if they are keeping iweb. I noticed in the key notes they didn't seem to have a icon for iweb. I really like the program and would hate to see it go away.
We don't know for sure. But probably not. Most commentators like myself think that iWeb is dead.

Then you are vulnerable to decisions made by that company
At any time yahoo, gmail, me, mac, hotmail and others could disappear, start charging more for their service, reduce storage space or service and even go out of business
Smart business ONLY have emails and web addresses that belong to them

I repeat - this is a valuable lesson and you are lucky to have a year to sort it out
Apple may well have a transition path, but you can no means count on it
Get some savvy person to show you how to easily upload a site to a different server in iWeb or something easy like rapidweaver and host it yourself - if your hosting company changes policy or goes down the toilet you can just move and take your domain with you never having to print new business cards again (until you decide to change your business name)
When you come out the other end with a stronger identity and more control you will be glad you were thrown off the deep end
You are very correct. I have been considering the move for a while, but this will get my old butt moving. Iweb was easy and a comfortable way to publish a very simple club newsletter, times change and we must move on. Apple is probably keeping the current sites because they are still selling IWEB. Although the latest iteration has not been updated.
