Of course, I only intend to use it with Macs. Do you think it would have better performance than using FAT? Thanks!

  1. If I was only going to use a flash drive with Macs, I would definitely format it as Mac Extended, yes. You may or may not see a performance difference, but the drive will certainly play with Macs better. I usually reformat flash drives all the time (instead of erasing) so it is pretty easy to go back and forth if you need to.

    If you live in a Mac/Windows world or plan to share drive with friends format with FAT32. The only draw back is files can not be over 4GB, but I doubt that would be much of a drawback
