MacMost Forum / jpeg files won't show photo icon just generic jpeg image

my jpeg files suddenly won’t show the photo in the icon
just a generic jpeg thumbnail
this happened once before and i fixed it
but this time nothing seems to work (view options, permission repair)
and it’s soooo frustrating mac osx 10.5.8

    Did you try the usual: log out, log back in. Restart?
    How about the size of the icons. I can’t remember Leopard that well, but I believe the pictures only show if the icon size in that Finder window is larger enough.
