Where can I find a special effect that just highlights or spotlights one image in iMove11?

  1. There’s no easy way to do that in iMovie.
    You could do it with a picture-in-picture overlay, though.
    For instance, in this video I show you how to blur a spot:

    Take the same concept, but create an image that is a 50% black over everything except the area you want. That is 0%, or completely transparent.
    Then use that image as a picture-in-picture overlay.
    But it is a bit of an expert technique. You’ll need to know your way around a program like Photoshop or something that creates 32-bit images.
