MacMost Forum / MAC OS X Lion Upgrade

Hi Gary. Great site– I’m looking to buy my first Mac later this month and your site has awesome info.
I have a question– the Mac I’m going to buy is the MacBook Pro. I understand that Mac OS X 10.7 Lion is due out this summer. When it’s released, will I simply be able to buy the DVD for the new version and upgrade my MacBook Pro? Or is there more to it than that? —–

    That’s all there is to it. If you bought a MacBook Pro with Leopard before, and then bought a Snow Leopard DVD when that was released, you just stuck it in and went through the upgrade. All applications, documents and settings remained. A pretty painless upgrade.
