Hi Gary,
I use MacMail and wold like to be able to take an email and drop it into Ical/BusyCal – - – it could be a To-Do or just an email I want to deal with in the next day or so.

I don’t know why I can’t just drag and drop it like other Mac applications and why Apple has to make this so difficult. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and save a ton of time.

  1. See episode 159. http://macmost.com/using-data-detectors.html
If there is a date in the text, you should be able to create iCal events easily.
To create to-do items, just select the text and right click, then choose New To Do. It will take that text and create a new to do item. Very handy.

    Hi Gary,
Thanks for the tips. I have been using the data detectors for dates/times however this always opens ICAL and I only use BUSYCAL . . so that’s an issue.

Also the NEW TO DO works well and I will start using that….. But what about just drag n dropping the entire email onto BUSYCAL ? any suggestions .

Thanks again, You are so helpful to your website visitors.
