MacMost Forum / Perian for QuickTime

Gary how important is it to have Perian installed on my mac for imovie and quicktime.

    Not sure how to answer your question — what do you need Perian for? I don’t have it installed on any of my Macs.
    It allows you to play some different formats inside QuickTime, right?
    I mean, if you need it, then I guess you need it. But I’ve never needed it.
