Hi Gary. How is the personal  hotspot feature different from the internet tethering feature.?
I always used the latter but now on my iPhone 3gs after  upgrading to iPhone OS 4.3, the Internet thetgering has gone and personal hotfoot shows up. I tried it and it is mostly the same. How different are both of them.  —–

  1. Wires. The tethering feature is done by connecting your iPhone via a dock cable to your Mac. One iPhone, one Mac. The personal hotspot feature does this wirelessly by setting up a small wifi network. You don’t need the wires, and you can connect more than one computer. Handy, too, for devices that don’t have a way to tether, like the iPad.
