To save a Filemaker Pro report (a black on white document) as a pdf, I go to the print dialog, then select “Save as PDF”. What then appears on the screen is the document with a black background and the text in a fluorescent green color. I want to email this report (in pdf format) to someone, but I don’t want it to display this way when the other party receives it.

  1. Unfortunately I don’t have Filemaker Pro to test. So you are saying that the PDF comes out with completely different text and background colors from what you see in the Filemaker document? That’s odd. Nothing to do but to try to adjust settings and experiment.

I can’t replicate this. I did “print to pdf” and also “Save/Send Records as..” and selected “PDF”.

Both ways came out as intended. Are you in Preview Mode?

Howdy – the green text on black background is the PDF “High Contrast” option; it can be accessed (and turned off) by selecting ‘Options’ when doing the Save as PDF.

    Cheers!
