MacMost Forum / Search within Mail

The search with exclusions video was helpful but what I would like to know is how to do the same in Mail. For example how to search on a subject but limited to a single email address.

  1. One way to do it is to use a Smart Mailbox. Go to Mailbox, New Smart Mailbox. Then you can create a search based on a number of criteria. You can definitely search on a subject and email address — or excluding an email address.
Then, when you are done, just delete that smart mailbox. Or, create a Smart Mailbox called “Custom Search” and leave it there, editing it each time you want to perform a custom search.
