MacMost Forum / Show iPad movie on iMac screen

is there a way to download a movie on the ipad then connect it to the larger imac screen ahd view the movie on the larger screen

    Some of the new iMacs have a mini display port that accepts video input and you can turn your iMac into a simple display. In that case, you should be able to use Apple’s iPad VGA connector, a some sort of VGA to mini display port adapter, to pump the video from the Videos app out to a display-mode iMac. Reports of things like this working are mixed, though, as you have to get the adapter just right. It wouldn’t work for some rented or purchased movies, though, as DRM prevents it.
    Seems like a lot of work when you can just play back the movie on your iMac.

    Is it possible to stream the movie from your iphone to an hdmi tv?

    You can also get certain apps that would allow you to live stream movies to your apple device.
