Is there a way of creating a Smart Folder that will contain all of the uses of a certain label? Finder allows for like 6-8 colors to label things. I would like to make smart folders that use all the instances of something labeled yellow, for example.

  1. Yes, you can. In the Finder choose File, New Smart Folder. Then add a criteria with the + button. Select “Other” in the criteria pull-down. Then look for “File Label” and select that. Then you can set the color of the label. Now you have a Smart Folder of all items with that color label. Press “Save” to save it.
