Gary, I wonder if you have an opinion or advice about how to do backups for two different Macs. I have a MBP and use a Time Capsule for backups. I am considering an additional MBP or perhaps an iMac or Mac Mini as a second device in my home. I do not typically use the MBP outside the home. I use my Time Capsule as my wireless connection. Should I use a second Time Capsule for the second system or perhaps a non-Apple hard drive. ? —–

  1. You can back up both Macs to the Time Capsule.
See http://www.apple.com/timecapsule/backup.html and look for the section “Have multiple Mac computers in your house?”
