Is it possible to have Time Machine back up to two different hard drives?

No, not possible.
Is it that you want to create two separate backups, one perhaps to more off-site?
Or, is it that you want more hard drive space to backup more Macs or go back further in time?
For the first, I would recommend using cloning to clone your primary drives once a week or so. See episode 512: http://macmost.com/time-machine-versus-cloning.html
If the second, there’s not much of an option. You could create a RAID drive with multiple drives in one box. But it would be cheaper to simply upgrade your Time Machine drive to something bigger. 2TB drives are getting close to $100 nowadays.

Gary, I watched this and that is what I am doing. I use CCC to do this, I just figured that Time Machine does everything so well if it was possible to send files to two different backup machines using it, I would.

I am using the same MacBook both at home and in my office. Every location has its own time machine drive. This works without any problems, the only thing I have to do is to switch the drive in the Time Machine preference pane.
Glad to know this works smoothly. I haven’t had the need to try a setup like that. Thanks.
