Kinda new with the Mac system. When Apple releases either new updates in the operating system how is installed to the Macbook? Is it a normal update through itunes? Thanks and happy holidays.

  1. To update the operating system on your Mac, you just use Software Update. Apple Menu, Software Update. It should be set to check for updates automatically. But you can also trigger it manually that way to check more often.
You only update your iOS devices (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad) through iTunes. You sync with iTunes and it will check to see if the OS on the device is up to date.
