MacMost Forum / what format for camcorder foorage to create a dvd

I’ve copied Hi8 movie footage onto my mac via Elgato capture. It saves it as .mp4. I want to edit it a bit in imovie to take out duff stuff then burn it to a dvd.
What’s the best format to save the imovie project in? .mov, protected mpg4 (which is twic etge size) or what? Don’t usually make dvds. Is idvd the thing?

    Use the Share menu in iMovie and save it out as the highest format that it shows you can export.
    Then use iDVD to create a DVD. See episode 515: http://macmost.com/quick-ways-to-build-dvds-with-idvd.html
