MacMost Forum / What hook-up for MacBook Air to Canon camcorder?

I want to use my MacBook Air as the display for what I’m recording with my Canon camcorder and need to know which adapter I need. I think it’s a micro-DVI, but to…? May have to go to the Apple store to resolve this correctly.

    You can’t do it. The only “input” on a MacBook Air is USB. And USB2 isn’t fast enough for a live video stream like that. There isn’t any way that I know of to stream live video from a camcorder to a MacBook Air. You’ll have to record on the camcorder and then transfer the video files to the computer later.
