MacMost Forum / What type cable from Modem to imac?

What kind of cable goes from my modem to my mac?
Is it a CAT 5, CAT 6 or something else?
Can I run one 25ft to another room without losing signal?

    CAT5 is fine. You can run one hundreds of feet if need be. They usually sell pre-made ones in 6, 10, 25, 50 75 and 100 feet lengths. You can get them anywhere you buy computers or parts.
