MacMost Forum / When to shut down iMac?

thanks for all the great information you share on your site.
My question is that I sometimes go on weekend trips…rarely a week or so vacation…What is your rule of thumb about shutting down the computer? I use an iMac but probably would be the same for my wife’s PC desktop as well. Thanks, again —–

    Hope that helps you decide which one to do. If you don’t need to access your computers from outside your house, you might as well shut them down, especially if it will be for more than a couple of days.
