I have a iPhone3GS with iOS 5.0.1 update. Suddenly the display of the Safari browser is locked on landscape only & does not revert to portrait when holding the iPhone upright. Has anyone experienced this recently? Is there a solution?

  1. Perhaps you have turned on orientation lock?
Double tap the home button. Then swipe all the way to the left to go to the controls — volume, brightness, etc. You should also see an orientation lock button. See if it is locked.

    Hi Gary
Tks for your input. Problem seems to have solved itself as auto orientation is working again without me doing anything.
