Can I hook a Mac Mini to a old iMac G4 and use the G4’s screen.

I was thinking about getting a Mac Mini but I like the look of the iMac I have. Can I use the iMac as an external display.

The short answer is no. I mean, of course you can do anything -- re-engineer the parts of the G4 into a monitor -- but really, no, most people can't do it.

Okay well I am good at wiring and I was thinking about taking the gut's out of the G4 and I thought I would see if the mini would fit inside.

Wow, that's quite a risk -- at breaking both your G4 and the mini. But if you can afford it, go for it.
