I have lots of DVDs, including Blu-ray. I heard of some video streaming apps, like Air Video, Air Playit, etc. with which I am capable of streaming videos to iPhone iPad iPod touch from PC/Mac. That’s interesting.
But I have a question: can I stream some DVD movies to my iPhone 4 16g directly? Or should I convert the DVDs to the iPhone supported videos first with a DVD ripper program?
Specifically, I have X-Men, Avatar, Matrix and other sci-fi movie DVDs.
I’ll go on a journey and wanna watch some DVD movies. So can anyone help?

It sounds like what you really want to do is to rip the videos into video files that can then be put on your iPhone. "Streaming" wouldn't do that, as you'd need to stream from the computer over a fast (probably local) connection.
So you want to use Handbrake to import the video and do it with the settings so that it works on the iPhone.
