My husband updated his 3G iphone with iOS4 and is regretting it- it has become really slow. Is there away to downgrade the OS back to the earlier version?

I have heard that people are doing it, yes. But I'm not sure of the steps. I believe you have to find a version of the system from a non-Apple site. Do a Google search and you should come up with some things.
