Color “variables” In Keynote?

I am a vivid Keynote user and I love it. However, I wonder whether there is a way to define the colors of my shape drawings in a more easy-to-change fashion. What happens right now is that I define a color palette for my presentation and then use the colors defined in that palette when drawing. Unfortunately, what looks nice on my screen does not necessarily project well too. To cater for this, I have to manually update the colors for each of my drawing objects. Is there a way to set up variables for the colors and then tie the drawing objects to those variables, allowing me to change the color of all associated drawing objects simply by assigning a new color to the variable?

Sorry, I don't know of a way to do that in Keynote.
The best suggestion I can think of is to use the Copy Style/Paste Style functionality. But even that may not work if you have too many different elements -- some sharing some style elements and not others.

Thanks, Gary. That's kind of what I expected, unfortunately.
