For some reason some of my photos out of one upload have a little i in a white circle bottom right of photo and when I try to edit the photo turns black -it is a jpg file – do I need to reload photos or can this be fixed?

So is the photo black when you view it, or is the photo fine, but turns black when you try to edit it?
I'm not sure what could be wrong with them. What makes those photos different than the others?
