Final Cut Pro documents

I have an SSD for the OS & Apps. When I installed Final Cut Studio, the installer put the Final Cut Pro documents folder in ~/Documents. What is the Final Cut Pro documents folder for? I use an external HDD. Can I simply move the Final Cut Pro documents folder to my external HDD? When I set up a scratch disk for a new project I set everything to the external (waveform cache, thumbnail cache, autosave vault), so perhaps I can delete the Final Cut Pro documents folder in ~/Documents?? Similar to the previous question, but also a bit different too. Thanks!!

I believe that this is the default location for the scratch disk, but I'm not 100%. Putting scratch elsewhere will prevent FCP from using this folder, but it is still there. There may not be much you can do about it except deleting it all the time. It sounds like, for searching the net, that FCP likes to create the folder even if it doesn't use it.

Gary I have made videos with cycorder on my iPhone. The clips won't work directly into FCP. The extension is .mov Do you have an idea what needs to be done to use it in FCP?
