Hey Gary,
I installed the latest Handbrake (64 bit). The only encoding options are h264 and mpeg4 for mp4 and mkv formats. No divx for avi. Since I watch a lot of avis on my tv, they’re preferable. Is there anything like Handbrake which also gives avi options?

I'm not sure if there are any that go to AVI. I've only ever used Handbrake for this kind of thing. What sort of device are you using that only plays AVI files? Can it play mp4 at all? If not, then why not use it mp4 instead?
