Hi, Gary. Please, I would like to know, please, create a movie dvd from a movie (.avi) with subtitle (.srt). I mean, I have a movie in .avi and the movie subtitle in .srt. and I want to watch the movie in my dvd player with the subtitle. How could I do that in my macbook? what software I need for that? Thanks.

Sorry, I can't help you with that. I've never heard of an .srt file before. Perhaps look for someone who is an expert in that area?
I need to do is open the movie in QuickTime, and if the .srt/.sub file is located in the same folder as the movie, it opens as well (this is well known). However, after that, all you need to do is save (via File » Save As), and the subtitle track is merged directly into the movie file. No extra software is required.
quicktime can't play AVI files. Not unless you install a codec or somethin'.
