iCal Fonts

The type in iCal is so tiny I can barely read it. Also, the type is the same color as the shaded area. I’ve had to change the colors to either ‘white’ or just barely a color.

I’ve owned my Mac now for a whole 48 hours and this is the only program so far that’s killing me

Thanks for any help

I know what you mean. And so do a lot of other people. There's just no way to adjust the font size. I'd suggest it to Apple (add you voice to the issue: http://www.apple.com/feedback/ical.html)
You can always use the screen zoom feature (see episode 252: http://macmost.com/using-the-mac-zoom-feature.html) to help.

What is the grey shaded area on iCal (not current day shading), and how can I lose it?

Also, my MacBook Pro iCal will not show overlapped all-day events. Only the most recently modified all-day event will show on the calendar. My Desktop computer will show all events overlapped. Both are running Snow Leopard and I cannot find a setting that differs from one computer to the other.

Can you describe the gray shading more. Which view (Today, Week, Month?) Where does it appear exactly.
Perhaps you only have one calendar set to view on the other Mac?
