How recent? Did it come with Lion on it? If so, you are in luck. If you buy a Mac with Lion, you get iMovie, GarageBand and iPhoto on it, but from the App Store. Since app store apps can be put on any Mac you own, you can now download them for free to your old MacBook Pro, assuming it is Snow Leopard or Lion with the app store installed.
Just log in to the app store on the old Mac with the same ID you are using on your new Mac. Then go to the "purchased" listing.

I bought the Macbook Air in January before the Lion Launch. The "purchased" listing doesn't show any iLife'11 app. Does this mean I have to Buy iLife'11?? I'm just waitting a little bit longer to upgrade to Lion, does it come with iLife'11?

You already have iLife 11. Any new Mac bought in the last several years has it. Unless you have deleted it from your Mac, you have those apps (iMovie, GarageBand, iPhoto). New with Lion is the fact that you get them as "purchased" in the Mac app store. But that's a minor detail, only useful if you have an older Mac, say with iLife 09, and want to upgrade.

You're saying that I can only benefit from my iLife'11, on my Macbook Pro that came with iLife'09, if I upgrade to Lion.

Pardon me my persistance, it's because where i live there isn't a lot of Mac users that i can talk with in Portuguese.

    Thanks a lot

P.s.- Your podcast has been a very big help!!!

No, you can simply buy it (iMovie 11, GarageBand 11 and iPhoto 11) from the App Store on your old MacBook Pro. They work fine in Snow Leopard too.

I am using a Mac Mini from 2007,and just the other night there was a download for iLife upgrade.
I do not know where it is,or what it is used for Gary.
