Editing a project and iMovie 09 is suddenly going wacky. Can’t click on clips, etc. Project Library won’t come up. Tried shutting down, restarting, etc. Any answers? Some some threads; others have apparently had similar problems.Thanks!

Have you tried starting a new project. Just to test it. See if the same problems occur.
Maybe start re-building your project and see at which stage the problems come up.
BTW -- have you checked to make sure you aren't running out of disk space?
Unfortunately, project screen is freezing up consistently, for new and old projects. 280GB or so of disk space left. Almost looks like the program is shot, and on a somewhat new iMac.

Not sure what the problem could be. I don't think the "program is shot" -- it is probably some other application getting in the way or something. Maybe take it in to the Genius Bar so they can have a look.
