I have a 1/2 hr movie with no music and no transitions and about 3/4 thru the movie the video freezes up.
I have a Mac pro laptop with the standard memory (Ithink it is 2Gig).
Could it be the Memory or could the audio which is loud in a few spots do this?
I new and slowly converting over to mac equipment.

What are you doing when the freeze up happens? Are you talking about playing the movie back as a preview inside of iMovie? Or, are you talking about exporting the movie and then playing it back outside of iMovie? Or, are you talking about it freezing up when exporting?
It happens when playing the video in the imovie program.
I burned the project to dvd and it plays fine.
so i think it is a memory problem (maybe)
When it freezes i hit the space bar and it play a little and freezes up again
Ah, well remember that is just a preview. It is difficult to render video in real time so the preview area doesn't always show things completely right. Share (export) to get a better view of the final project.
