Itap ip addresses won’t log in to iMac

I’ve gone through the entire support manual. Triedinternal and external ip assesses to connect from iPhone to iMac and the itap vnc app always shows an error in loging into my iMac.
Dont know what credentials to use as I’ve run out I’d all usernames and passwords I could have ! I’ve bought the app.

Are you sure Screen Sharing is turned on for the Mac?
Does the Mac have Firewall turned on? Try turning it off.
Do you have other Firewall or protection software on the Mac? Try turning it off.
What are you connecting through? An Airport Extreme? Another type of router? Check in its settings to see if you have some sort of firewall or something else turned on that may block the port.

All firewalls are off. I never turned the mac firewall on so I think it is off.

I use a Belkin N series Adsl wifi router whose firewall is disabled.

Check those Belkin settings carefully. I'm not familiar with that router so I can't advise. Maybe some other setting (VNC ports being used by something else or turned off) is getting in the way. Sorry I can't help and further.
