Keyboard short cut to control Finder menu Per Podcast 169

When I tried the “Control+F2” to allow for keyboard control of menu features in Finder, it would not work. I followed the instructions in Podcast 169 to the letter, but I cannot get the short cut to work.

Do you have the keyboard set to use the F-keys as standard function keys? Check in System Preferences, Keyboard, Keyboard and look for "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys."
Alternatively, you could use Control+fn+F2. The "fn" key allows you to toggle the use of the F-keys.
