Keychain Passwords in Banking Apps?

Gary,
My keychain passwords do not seem to work with my Banking apps on my ipad. Will the passwords in the keychain work with ipad apps? If so what am I doing wrong?
I can get keychain passwords to work if I use Safari on the ipad. Thanks, Bob

So you are talking about specialized third-party apps, right? Ones you downloaded from the App Store?
No, those won't access your Keychain. Not sure if this is for security reasons, or that third-party apps simply don't bother with this. I can't think of a single third-party app that uses the Keychain, so probably a security issue.
The banking app I used (provided by my bank) asks me to enter my password, but it also has Touch ID functionality, so I don't need to enter my password every time. A banking app that was serious about security would also require a two-factor passcode, but few do this.
I would just copy and paste the password from Settings, Safari when you need it. Maybe ping your bank about adding Touch ID too.

    Gary,
Thanks for the answer. I noticed when I update the keychain on my MAC it is not updating on my iPad. What do I need to do to make it update on the iPad?
    Thanks, Bob

Bob: Make sure you have it turned on in both System Preferences, iCloud on your Mac and Settings, iCloud on your iPad.
