Hey Gary, I have just re-installed iworks 08 on to my Macbook following a hard disk failure. The templates in Keynote and Pages along with the lines for tables in Numbers and it templates are missing. Can I try to re-install 08 again and over write the current files? and hopefully the templates as well. Or do you have a better solution?

The first thing I would do is to simply re-install again. But since you are doing that anyway, you could also update to iWork 09.
So I don't need to un-install the version thats on my machine now?
I would just try installing it first. I wouldn't try uninstall + install until after that.
