Whether it is related or not, after I added the Safari extensions on my MacBook Air…I lost the little window to type the website where I want to go! The name of the site is like typed where the window would be…but no area to type!!! What did I do???? Probably very simple to correct, but before I pull my remaining hair out and waste hours, thought I would post it here. thanks

It sounds like you may have simply removed your address bar by mistake.
First, try to see if you have simply hidden it.
In Safari, choose View, Show/Hide Toolbar.
If that doesn't work, then choose View, Customize Toolbar. Then drag the address field from the display of elements back up to your toolbar.
WOW! That took two seconds and worked! Thanks... Dragged the address field back into place. Happy 4th, everyone....
